- Cody is incredible, and that's an understatement. He created the branching strategy for our team during code freeze, creating a process that significantly reduced conflicts and eased the transition for everyone.
- I've worked with Cody on numerous bugs and really appreciate his systematic approach in solving them. He consistently goes the extra mile to break down complex problems, making them easier to understand and resolve. While working on spiking the validation code for our smart import feature, I often referred to Cody's pull requests that were detailed and exhaustive . His thoroughness extends to code reviews as well; he doesn't just review but also lends valuable insights on code design and structure, from which I've learned a great deal.
- I also value Cody’s insights on boosting productivity as an engineer, especially regarding managing context changes in day-to-day work, which I’ve found challenging. I am glad Cody's on the team and I look forward to continue learning from him.

- Cody’s communication skills are superb. I’ve seen him be able to quickly gain context and communicate concepts in meetings where he’s learning about a topic, like in a discussion about getting the mobile apps migrated over to DataDog. He’s also done an incredible job in creating more structured communication, such as documentation for infrastructure changes in our mobile apps, and more instructional guides such as this incredible youtube video I re-visit when builds seem slow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Zb6Nkq0n0
- Cody has a positive attitude that helps the team maintain a collaborative mindset. While running Wallet Experience’s bi-weekly retro, he helps us stay on task, kind, and constructive. We’ve made it through more topics and have completed more action items since he’s gained ownership of the meeting.
- Cody has taken on several projects with large scope. He’s maintained a well manicured list of goals, and has done an excellent job at balancing long term growth with short term wins. My favourite example of this work is the code ownership initiative. It’s scope is very large, considering the amount of time is spent on that concept in web. Despite the scope, Cody has been able to make measurable progress in a transparent manner. First steps were small, getting the team used to adding new packages to the team config. Recently, it’s grown to start attributing packages to specific teams. Long term goals involve splitting errors by package to slack channels for specific teams. This work will prove beneficial to multiple teams across members and all of the mobile teams in the Group, and involves input from multiple teams.
- Cody is the first person I go to when I meet any barrier at build time. He has a breadth of experience and knowledge that often is enough to unblock me immediately. When there’s more to know and learn, Cody’s expertise makes better understanding the problem a breeze. Even in the most extreme cases of infra/tooling issues, I will at minimum leave with a work around to continue my work. He’s a clear leader to these spaces, and has been helpful as i’ve navigated changes to build-types and environment pickers in the android app. His insight was incredible helpful to that initiative.

- I enjoy working with Cody on my problems. Cody doesn’t always have the answer directly, but asks questions that help me get the answer myself. I believe Cody has strong communication skills. Whenever I have a problem, Cody will always make sure he understands what my problem is before trying to give a solution. This way, we are always on the same page when figuring something out.
- Technically, Cody is good at finding answers. He is a believer in looking for source code and official documentation. For example, when we were looking for issues from Xcode 13.3 due to bitrise, we had an idea that we needed to update our IPA command. Cody found the source commit that solved the problem to finalize our solution without guessing.

- Cody sends out a developer survey every week to determine what would impact developers the most. He has been successful in cutting build speeds which helps developers work faster. Cody is always trying to be more efficient and looks for things that delay the team. Recently Cody has helped me create a machine user to hookup our component library repo. He is also working on automating our release process further so developers can release faster. Cody also joins the mobile guild meetings and has provided insightful opinions for the team. This helps us make decisions easier.
- Cody has been doing an amazing work speeding up our CI process, he removed the need of update the schema file on every build, reducing the compilation time from around 4 minutes to around 2.5 mins. He also fine tuned how the tests runs on Bitrise, this change alone reduced the compilation time on BItrise by around 1.5 minutes.
- Cody implemented also the Kover framework within our codebase, this framework will help us to set a baseline to a code coverage. Cody does a great job of making sure he's doing the most impactful work, constantly checks in to see what pains developers are feeling so that he can work on the most important things. Additionally I think Cody's doing well with coming up to speed on all the things he's responsible for. He's been quick to hunt down information, context, etc to take ownership and making improvements without letting the unknown get in his way.
- I appreciate Cody’s willingness to speak up and point out things that don’t work well on the team. It encourages others to do the same so we can all have honest conversations and work on ways to do better. I also appreciate the surveys he sends out regularly to gather ideas on mobile development pain points and ways he could help. It has been helpful involving Cody in conversations. He provides insightful ideas and always try to help whenever he can.
